A Charity Ball. Kane's Legacy.
Updated: Aug 19, 2019
On Friday 26th July 2019 we took our fun casino tables to a charity fundraiser to help raise funds for Harefield hospital in memory of Kane woodington, a local lad from Bristol.
"In 2016 Kane was diagnosed with restricted cardiomyopathy and pulmonary hypertension. As a result he was referred to Harefield Hospital where he received treatment. He then underwent a heart and lung transplant in January 2018. He made an outstanding recovery and was home within two and a half weeks. He then went on to return to work, college and spent most of his time socialising with his friends. Sadly, he was taken ill and lost his fight on the 6th of December 2018."

The Charity ball was organised by Kane's parents, and was held at Brislington football club in Bristol. A huge marquee was set up to accommodate an impressive 400 guests. The marquee looked absolutely fabulous and was kitted out in a purple and black colour scheme with crisp white linens on large round banquet tables. We were all treated to the most mouth watering hog roasts and drinks were kept flowing by the wonderful bar staff who worked their socks off.
The evening was packed with entertainment, brilliant music was provided by Keith Flower and band, followed by Lyndon Bharath Dj who both kept the dance floor lively all night and a very popular photo booth by Brizzle Booths.
Our casino tables were busily buzzing all night. We had roulette, blackjack and 3 card poker tables on the go, and some very good players kept us on our toes and we had really good fun with them all. We had 4 casino prize winners of a bottle of champagne, a signed Bath rugby shirt, a signed Bristol bears rugby shirt, and a box of chocs.
An extraordinary raffle and auction took place with out of this world stuff up for grabs including a Tyson Fury signed boxing glove, Brand new 2019 hot tub, 3 night log cabin stay, Balloon ride for 2, signed albert square plaque and a Real Madrid Gareth Bale signed shirt to name but a few.
Over £16,000 was raised on the night by the family and friends of Kane, and the amount of love for him in that marquee was enormous. We feel extremely privileged and proud to have been part of the evening. Thank you so much for having us.
